I worked at the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego as the Community Outreach Coordinator where I was responsible for educating the public and sharing with them this museum whose aim is to "inspire, educate and engage the broadest possible audience through the presentation, collection, and preservation of photography, film, and video."
I did my graduate work for my first Masters at the Henry Art Gallery, working closely with their photography collection. I continued on as a staff member and still bring my history of photography students to view the collection in the Reed Collection Study Center.
After completing my Masters in Museology, the Henry Art Gallery hired me to work as their Community Outreach Coordinator for the Gene(sis): Contemporary Art Explores Human Genomics exhibition, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.
